Dance
The art world came together when Ann took a course in modern dance her last term in architecture school. There she learned through study of the Bauhaus and modern movement, how dance, art and architecture were intimately connected. She admires dance--the color, the grace, the athleticism...the art of dance. Dancers sculpt space. Ann's images are often filled with space, allowing light to define the dancers. She strives to present the choreographer's vision on film.
Sports
An athlete herself, Ann has an innate ability to capture the moment of sport. She strives to illustrate the passion and drive behind an athlete. She loves working close and often uses selective blurring or panning to illustrate movement.
Architecture
As an architect herself, Ann has a true understanding of design, building and the architect's pallet of materials. Architecture is a collaborative art, inspired by the Owner's dream, created through the Designer's vision and realized with the Craftsman's skill. Ann loves to capture the construction in progress, the beautiful curve of conduit, the amazing framing behind a complicated soffit....as well as the final space and finishes.
